provides you the opportunity to make an eternal difference in a child’s life by showing that you care.
This....
Is a missionary ministry reaching out to the orphans, widows, and other less fortunate people by providing shelter, food, clothing, shoes, clean water, and love… reaching out through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This....
is not a big budget operation. There are no large salaries, advertising budgets, or office overhead expenses. Simply put, the money that you give goes directly towards caring for the needy.
This ministry sends a beautiful message of love to these precious children and people, along with a strong testimonial of the Love of Jesus Christ.
A special thanks to all of you who are, and desire to become, a part of this ministry. We thank all of you as your hearts are opened to help meet the needs of God’s Little Childrenthroughout the world. We covet your prayers that we may be used to the honor and glory of Jesus Christ in the full will of God.
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' (Matthew 25:40 )
Following are some places where ‘God’s Little Children’ is helping in the country of Guatemala:
Chijoj is in a remote area about a 6 hour drive from Guatemala City. That area and the large surrounding area suffered greatly in the civil war. Since then there is much to do, not only in helping them physically, but also in love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today some of the living conditions are improving a little at a time, but compared to American standards it’s extremely poor. Roscoe Canada, from the U.S. and living in Guatemala full time, founder of ‘God’s Place For His Little Children’, obeyed the call of God, went to Chijoj and purchased a seventy acre property and served that area by opening an orphanage and feeding station where malnourished children could be given a better diet. In times past many children were fed and housing provided until their circumstances were better. Today the orphanage building is used more for people from the surrounding mountain villages which need medical treatment and therapy. Among a host of other projects, they do medical campaigns in many small and remote mountain villages. They use that opportunity to also share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus there becomes a continual need for church buildings in some of those villages where people are being saved and the Church is growing. They also have an ongoing pastor’s seminary, where 25 to 35 pastors and leaders from many villages walk in to the compound every month for 2 days of seminary. Now they also are beginning a course for the youth in leadership training, and also training in music and computers. This is a 6 month course where the youth live at the compound during that time.
NOTE : In November of 2008, Roscoe Canada, founder of 'God's Place For His Little Children' passed on to be with Jesus, which has called for some re-organization. But the vision he carried to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Mayon Indians in the mountains of Guatemala is the vision we have kept who have been working alongside Roscoe. Our prayer is to have that vision continue even greater than before.
The mission field is still wide open.
Chichicastenango is a tourist city in Guatemala. Many poor people from the surrounding area, in order for them to have a meager income, on market days will come into the city to sell their handmade products to tourists. Ron Morin from the U.S. and living in Guatemala part time, founder of ‘Pray America’, saw the great need to reach out to the many children and widows. He has several feeding stations where they provide food for children and teach them the Bible.
He also builds houses for widows, who otherwise are very poor and have to live in tiny homes with other families. This gives them an opportunity to have a little home of their own, which would not be possible otherwise.
Nebaj is in area in Guatemala that also has many, many widows. Many of the men were killed in the war which left large numbers of orphans and widows. Harry Wilson from the U.S., founder of ‘Extended Hands’, has been taking groups from the U.S. to build houses for these widows. During the times they have groups building houses, they also have medical clinics to help with the many sicknesses in those areas.
Following describes how ‘God’s Little Children’ is helping in Haiti and India:
Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Many people on this island cannot find jobs because there are more people than jobs. Also there’s a lack of rain and healthy drinking water. Stenio Capre from Haiti, founder of ‘Harvest of Haiti’, has a strong call and anointing from God to evangelize and to plant many churches in Haiti. When they start churches they also open schools to give the children an opportunity to learn. Public schools make parents pay for the books, shoes and school uniforms. Therefore many children are illiterate because people do not have a means to pay. They also help the impoverished people by sharing food, clothing, and other products that are being sent in from various organizations in the U.S. As they get means to do so, they are bringing drinkable water sources into areas where there is no water.

India is a land which may bring your attention to the many extravagant places. Besides the extremely rich, there are the many extremely poor people. Dr. G.P. Rao, a native from India and now living here as a U.S. citizen, founder of ‘Agency for World Relief’, had a call from God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help the poorest of the poor back in India. He quit his job as a math professor at Michigan State University, in order to be in the ministry full time. They go to the remote Hindu villages and do medical campaigns, which also gives the opportunity to present the Good News while the crowds gather around. They also have someone teach sewing classes so people have an opportunity to bring in a little income. Because many are illiterate, they have adult reading classes for people wanting to read, therefore making it possible for these people to also then read the Bible for themselves.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38)
